Off Topic for a few secs

Hey Guys! So I know on here I seem so happy all the time but I want to share something with you guys. This past week has been really rough for me with depression. If you pray, and wouldn't mind praying I'd appreciate it. If you have any positive thoughts to pass on, those would be appreciated too. :) Thank you guys so much for being faithful to this blog :) xoxo Christina <3 E-mail: lucci.faith@gmail.com Fan Mail Address: 1 Sir Lancelot Dr. Bourne, MA 02532 USA Twitter: ChallengeLove13 Youtube: AlisonWinchester12

Cool Product Rant!! :)

Hey Guys! So I bought this a few years ago and liked it then but I LOVE it now. It's the Comfort Zone Palette by Wet n Wild!! :) I believe it was $3.99 at the time. It comes with 8 different shades and they are all really pigmented. For the price, it is amazing! It comes with a natural look and a more edgy look but you can mix the shadows however you want. It is a great value and if you see this you should definitely pick it up!! :) xoxo Christina <3

Review: Rimmel Clean Finish Foundation

Hey Guys! So this week I picked up the Rimmel Clean Finish Foundation in 220 soft ivory. It cost $3.97 at Walmart. It comes without a pump but has a spatula-like thing to get the foundation out. It claims to be 100% poreless, however I disagree. My pores still showed through. It isn't 100% full coverage, and in my opinion is actually minimal coverage. To get higher coverage, I actually set mine with the Rimmel Stay Matte powder in the shade 003 natural. However, even so, my pores still showed. How did I apply it? Well, I applied it with my Real Techniques blending sponge. After wetting my RT sponge, I dabbed it in a bit of foundation and applied it to my face. I then set it with the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder and concealed with the Nyx HD concealer. Is this a bad foundation? No. I think for $3.97, it's good. It didn't break me out but it didn't give me great coverage. However, it did create a good base for my other makeup to cling to. It isn't 100% poreles...

Makeup Blogging

Hey Guys! So I hate doing this but here it goes. So, while I love blogging it's expensive to buy these products and blog. I love writing for you guys so if you see anything in stores and want a review on it, let me know, but more than that, I love receiving products and if you send me product/s I will definitely review them for you :) Thanks Guys! xoxo Christina <3 Gift/Fanmail Address: 1 Sir Lancelot Dr. Bourne, Ma 02532 USA

Review: Lorac Pro 2 Palette

Hey Guys! So, I received my Lorac Pro 2 Palette a week or so ago. Immediately, I fell in love with it. It is on the higher end price wise and costs $44 at Ulta or Sephora. As someone who loves both drugstore makeup and high end, I can say that I don't like to splurge unless I think a product is worth it. This palette is DEFINITELY worth it! The day after I received it, I immediately began playing with it and love how creamy it is :) The palette has a lot of neutrals but also has a few pops of color. All of the shades are really soft to the touch and are really pigmented. I will say though that some of the colors do have some fall out. Not bad but there is some. Out of the two palettes, Lorac Pro and Lorac Pro 2, I think this is definitely the better option, though I will say that is only my opinion. I was able to get some purple-y looks as well as a green look and a look with the navy shadow as well as the silver and black and the more neutral colors. The palette is very vers...

Review: Maybelline Eye Studio Quad (Mad for Mauve)

Image
Hey Guys! So the other day I was checking out eyeshadow quads in walmart and stumbled across this one. It was $7.97 at walmart.  It comes with four eyeshadows, hence quad and a double sided sponge tip applicator. One side of the sponge tip applicator is thicker than the other which helps to be able to get into smaller areas (crease, inner eye). I feel like the sponge tip applicator is nice but it is more time consuming to use. It is harder to get the product onto your eyes so I would recommend using a brush instead. Mad for Mauve comes with three purple-y colors and a green. They are all really shimmery. However, they do have a bit of fall out. Despite that, the colors are very pigmented. However, they aren't all that long wearing. The packaging is cute and sleek. If you like purples and greens this is a good palette to add to your collection. That being said, if you aren't a collector like me, I don't think you really need it. You could find these colors in the ...

Dollar Tree Haul today!!!

Image
Hey Guys! So by chance I stopped at my local dollar tree here in Plymouth, Ma and found some cool stuff. In April, JamBeauty89 from youtube did a video haul from her dollar tree and found some similar items. For those of you who don't know, at the dollar tree everything is $1, so that's awesome. So, I'm gonna go ahead and tell you what I found. I love the dollar tree brand makeup wipes so I picked up a package of those. They come 40 in a pack. I run through these fairly quickly but they do the trick. :) I also picked up several milani bella eyes eyeshadows. I got bella violet, bella sky, bella navy, bella fuschia, bella pink, bella teal, bella cobalt, bella silver, bella gray, and bella charcoal. Here are some swatches of the eyeshadows (in order from left to right): Lastly, I picked up a few brushes by wet n wild. I picked up 2 contour brushes and 1 small eyeshadow brush and 1 large eyeshadow brush. Overall, I'm really happy I stopped at my doll...

Review: Covergirl Advanced Radiance Foundation

Hey Guys! So I've been testing out the Covergirl Advanced Radiance Foundation in the shade 105 Ivory. I bought it at walmart for $10. It has SPF 10 in it. The foundation has pretty good coverage. It isn't perfect but compared to most other foundations it is good. I apply it with my real techniques sponge. It seems to cover most acne scars and skin unevenness. The consistency is neither thin nor extremely thick. It kinda smells like cucumber?? I think. I don't really know. It comes in a pump tube which I really like because it doesn't take much to get the product out. Overall, for a foundation, this works great. I don't really have a negative for this product besides the fact that it isn't complete coverage. I like the smell, and the way it covers. I love that it comes in a pump tube. For me, it's a 8/10. It is a great foundation and if you see this, you should definitely pick it up. xoxo Christina <3

What is this???

Hey Guys! So this week I received my products/order from Ulta. I've been using my Lorac Pro 2 palette and will be reviewing that soon. I also received a lot of samples and will be reviewing those products soon as I try them out too. I've been using the tarte creamy powder foundation sample and will be reviewing that in a few days. The bronzer/blush I bought from five below by city color will be reviewed (with pictures) this week. I bought two elf palettes (Need it Nude, Prism Eyeshadows in Sunset) and the Butter Bronzer by Physicians Formula at cvs yesterday as well and will be reviewing these too in the near future! This is what you guys have to look forward to for the next week or two! xoxo Christina <3 If you guys know of anyone who loves beauty share this blog with them! I'd love to have more beauty lovers here! :) Quote of the post: "Beauty is love."

Review: Glossier Priming Moisturizer

Hey Guys! So, this past few weeks I've been using the Glossier Priming Moisturizer. Last weekend, I got a bad sunburn on my face and so I figured it was perfect timing to go back to testing out the Moisturizer. It claims to be both a moisturizer and a primer. It sells on Glossier's website for $36. That being said, it is a more costly option for a moisturizer. The moisturizer isn't something that I will repurchase. I can't speak to how it holds up as a primer on its own but I've been using it as a base before my primer. With my sunburn and dry skin recently, I've had a hard time with keeping foundations from clinging to my dry skin patches. This moisturizer allows me to do that. Still, my skin isn't completely smooth but this does help to minimize dryness. Overall guys, if you have a cheaper drugstore moisturizer than I wouldn't say to go and rush out to buy this one. :( xoxo Christina <3

Review: NYC Lovatics by Demi Palette

Image
Hey Guys! So for the past few weeks I've been experimenting with the NYC Lovatics Palette by Demi. Below is a few pictures of the palette. The palette is rather thin. I bought mine at walmart for $4.62. It is a rather inexpensive palette but it does have quite a few good qualities to it :) For a cheaper palette, it is pretty good quality. There are only 2 shades out of 12 that don't really have as much pigment. The first shade (white), and the third shade. Warning: These all have fallout though. They are gorgeous and have a lot of pigment but do have a crazy amount of fall out so, I would advise to do your eye makeup before you do your foundation. Overall, it's a good palette. I love it as an addition to my collection and if you see it in your drugstore, it is worth experimenting with! :) xoxo Christina <3

Review: Covergirl Supersizer Fibers Mascara

Hey Guys! This past week I bought the Supersizer Fibers mascara from Walmart. It retails for $5.99 at Walmart. I bought it because I love the original Supersizer mascara and wanted to try this one. This was inspired by Emilynoel83's video on youtube. She mentioned and compared both the supersizer and it's successor in a video and I decided to try it for myself. Being a lover of the supersizer mascara, I was excited to try this one. Now you may be thinking oh here comes the but.... but nothing. This time there is no but. It is a great mascara. I really like how it adds volume and length to my lashes. However, okay... now here comes the but... when compared to the original supersizer, it really isn't all that different. Like Emilynoel83 said, it doesn't do anything extra special it just builds the length and volume a little faster. That being said, I think if you have the supersizer original mascara already you really don't need this one. They can achieve the sa...

Review: Flower Beauty Stick Foundation

Hey Guys! So, a few days ago I took a trip to walmart and saw the Flower Beauty Stick Foundation. Up until this point I've kinda strayed from buying stick foundations. I'm not sure quite why but they weren't at the top of my list. However, I'm really glad I picked this up. I snatched this up for $8.98 at walmart and I've been using it ever since. I bought it in the shade SF1. It is the lightest shade they sell. The foundation performs beautifully. It really evens out my skin tone and does a nice job with covering imperfections. It isn't a coverall type of foundation though so if you have a ton to hide I don't know if I'd recommend this. My skin has been clearing up so I decided to give this a try and it looks really good. If you have any specific spots you want to cover, one concealer that I do use in conjunction with this foundation is the Maybelline Fit Me concealer in 15 fair. They seem to work well together and come out looking almost airbrushed....

Review: City Color Be Matte Blush in Pink Grapefruit

Hey guys! So when I was at five below I picked up this City Color Blush. It is in the color Pink Grapefruit. It cost $3 there. Originally when I swatched it, it seemed really bright which really isn't my thing but upon wearing it, I found that it was a really nice light pink color. I really like this on my face upon first trying it but you unfortunately have to be really light with the brush otherwise you might look a little overly pink. I buffed it out with my pixi blush over the top and it looks gorgeous that way. It's the perfect glow. I really like it that way and I would repurchase. I just wish it was subtler upon first trying. Overall, If you really like loud blush this will be your thing but if you want a subtler glow you will have to lighten this up or look for another blush. xoxo Christina <3

Review: Covergirl + Olay Simply Ageless 3 in 1 foundation

Hey Guys! I hate posting all negative reviews but I'm gonna have to post another one. I tested this foundation after I received a sample bit from the company. I loved it. It was a thicker consistency so I expected it would cover more. I bought this a few days ago from Walmart for $12.99. I had a coupon so I only paid $9.99.  It looked really promising but seems to really cling to dry patches when I first apply it. As the day went on I noticed that it separated on my nose and t zone area. It got in my pores and looked awful. I'm usually not one for returning a product but I will definitely be returning this. I've never despised a foundation so much. The product claims to reduce the appearance of wrinkles, improve tone, and deliver firming moisture. I can honestly say that it delivered NO moisture. NOT ONE OUNCE... I can't see this foundation reducing the appearance of wrinkles. I don't have trouble with wrinkles just yet but it seems to get in all the creases a...

Review: Physicians formula touch of glow liquid foundation

Hey Guys! So the other day while I was in walmart I picked up this foundation (Physicians formula touch of glow liquid foundation) for $14.99. I've heard people rave and rant about this stuff and I wanted to see what the fuss was about! I've been using this and I honestly don't know what the fuss is about. Upon first applying it, it looks really nice and dewy however, when you look at it after the day is over, (at about 5 o' clock) it is totally gone in the t zone and nose area. Mind you, that I baked it with powder after applying it and yet it is still completely gone. It definitely isn't long lasting... Overall, I don't really like this foundation. It didn't really give me super coverage and it didn't last all that long, even with my bareminerals mineral veil powder over the top. Let me know what you guys think of this product! Overall, for $15 I don't think this is really worth the money. xoxo Christina <3

Battle of the drugstore eye shadow pencils!

Image
Hey Guys! So, in this post I'm gonna be comparing wet n wild's idol eyes shadow creme pencil to Nyx's Jumbo Eye Pencil. Nyx's Jumbo Pencil costs $4.49 at Ulta and Wet n Wild's creme pencil costs $0.93. While, they're not that different in price they are different in how they look. The top is the Nyx shadow pencil and the bottom is the Wet n Wild Creme pencil. The Wet n Wild pencil applies much more pigmented but the Nyx one glides on easier. The Wet n wild pencil required some blending with my finger while the Nyx one needed no touching up at all. :) Overall if I had to pick one over the other for the price I would go with the Wet n Wild pencil. I would recommend applying it before you do your foundation in case of fall out. However, it is more pigmented and seems to have more holding power than the Nyx pencil. For $0.93, you can't go wrong. :) xoxo Christina Also, Guys I know I already posted this here but this is really important to me and ev...

Stila Kitten Dupes: Are they really dupes?

Image
Hey Guys! So today I was at walmart and I decided to search for a dupe for Stila's Kitten Eyeshadow. I love that color and have been looking for a cheaper dupe since it originally retails for $18.00. The first thing I came across was Maybelline's Champagne Fizz eyeshadow single. It was $2.93 at Walmart. That is the first swatch on the left. I apologize the swatches aren't that clear. If any of you guys know how I can make them come out more clear, I will repost them. :) This is the least close to Stila's kitten. It is almost white and frosty, not the champagne color that it boasts when you first look at it. The second dupe that I found was Loreal Infallible's iced latte eyeshadow. It retails for $7.99. This is the closest to Stila's Kitten eyshadow. It is the middle swatch on my hand in the photo. It is shimmery and pigmented. It is definitely something that I would buy before I would pay $18 for Stila's kitten eyeshadow. The last thing I fou...

Review: Beauty Treats Strobing Highlighter Highlighter Palette

Image
Hey Guys! So I was at Five below last week and found this highlighter palette. My holy grail Nyx's Born to Glow Liquid Illuminator which retails for $7.99 at Ulta. The strobing highlighter palette by beauty treats was $4 at Five Below. It comes with 3 creme highlighter shades and 3 powder shades. These photos don't really do the highlights justice but the yellowish highlight on the left is the one I'm wearing today. The photos on the top are the creme's by themselves. The photo of swatches on the bottom is with the powders on top of the creme. The cremes seem to benefit quite a lot from swirling your finger in them and warming them up before you use them. I use the powder shades to top off the highlight. It gives a really nice highlight. It is subtle but it does seem to have staying power. For $4, this product gave me a highlight that lasted all day. If you see this and want to experiment with highlighters, pick this up! It really is a great little packag...

Review: So Fresh, So Clean Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes

Image
Hey Guys! So today I'm going to be reviewing the So Fresh, So Clean Makeup Remover Cloths that I found at Five Below. For $1.00, you get 25 cloths. The cloths did a good job removing my makeup and leaving my skin refreshed, however, while it was removing the makeup I noticed it stung a little. I don't know specifically what is in this product that could make that happen but I will keep you posted as to whether these break me out or not. I will update this review Monday, but as of right now these are not my go to because of the way they sting. :( xoxo Christina <3

Review: Precisso Beauty Blending Sponge by Earth Therapeutics

Hey Guys! So today I'm gonna be reviewing the Precisso Beauty Blending Sponge for you. I bought mine at Kohls for $6.00 because it looked like a dupe for the beauty blender and I was interested in sharing my experience with you guys! Upon first wetting it, I noticed it is extremely soft, much more so than my forever 21 beauty blender dupes and even the mini beauty blending sponge's I tried recently from the creme shop. However, when I actually used it to apply my foundation I noticed that it soaked up most of the foundation into the sponge before I could apply it to my face. This could be because it had more of an airy texture than my normal beauty blending sponge's. It didn't give me great coverage and as someone with acne, it wasn't great for that. Overall, I was disappointed with this beauty blending sponge by Earth Therapeutics. For $6.00, I expected more. :( xoxo Christina <3

Hey Guys! So within the next two days I'm gonna be posting a review of the precisso beauty blending sponge by earth therapeutics. Stay Tuned! xoxo Christina <3

Review: Wet and Wild Megawear Mascara

Image
Hey Guys! So the other day I decided to take a trip to my local dollar tree and while I was there I found the Wet and Wild Megawear Mascara in Very black. If you buy this mascara at walmart it retails for $2.93 so it was cool to find it at the dollar tree for $1. I have actually never tried any of the wet and wild mascaras before so I figured I would try it out for you and review it to see if it's worth trying. For $2.93, that's still pretty cheap for a mascara compared to $6.99 or $7.99. So I figured I would let you guys know how it worked. The mascara's formula is patchy if you swatch it out on your hand. It comes off thick in places and then in other places it comes off as if you never put mascara on in the first place. I think this could be attributed to the wand though. On the eyes, the formula is thick and clumpy. It made my lashes look almost like a spider web. They stuck together and when I put my nyx waterproof coat over the top the lashes wouldn't co...

Review: Milani Eye Shadow Primer

Image
Hey Guys! First I want to say that I'm sorry I haven't updated lately but I will be this week. So Lately I've been experimenting with the Milani Eye Shadow Primer. The primer comes in a small tube (0.3 oz). The product retails for $6.99. While I've been using it, I've noticed that while it is a thicker consistency, it is oily and doesn't hold eye shadow much better than if I were to wear eyeshadow without primer. For $6.99, this is one product I wouldn't recommend. It's almost ineffective. I was very disappointed as I've heard many people rave about it and to find it didn't work for me was a disappointment. :( Anyone know of a good eyeshadow primer? Type it in the comments! xoxo Christina <3
