Ipsy: Finds and Flops

Hey Guys!

So in this post today I'm gonna be talking about some things I've gotten from Ipsy in the past. For those of you who don't know, ipsy is a monthly subscription service. You receive five products in a little cute adorable bag. It costs $10 a month.

So some things that I've gotten from Ipsy in the past four months are...

- a tarte lip stick
- starlooks rose gold cream eyeshadow
- naked cosmetics mica pigment in sierra nevada
- Keravegan repairing and hydrating masque
- Befine exfoliating cleanser with brown sugar, sweet almond, and oats
- Vintage Lipgloss in pink sequin by Jessica Liebeskind
- Luxie 522 Tapered Highlighter Brush
- ModelCo Lip Lacquer in Morocco and Socialite
- Chia Hair Smoothing Oil
- Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Oil
- The Organic Pharmacy Antioxidant Lip Balm
- Smashbox X Rated Mascara
- Clarks Botanicals Moisturizing Mask

Every month I've received some products that I've loved but I've also gotten some things that I didn't necessarily love. First I'm gonna discuss some of the products that I really loved.

The first product that I really loved was the Clarks Botanicals Mask. It was amazing on my face. It smoothed my face and created a refreshing feeling. I love this product and out of all the things I received, I would love to repurchase this.

Another product that I liked was the mica pigment by naked cosmetics. It was really pigmented and looked gorgeous.

One product that I didn't really like was the Luxie 522 Tapered Highlighter Brush. The brush was really soft and felt good on my face but didn't apply my highlight evenly where I wanted it. It made it look patchy and uneven. :(

Overall, I've gotten a lot of good products but I've also gotten some things that I didn't like. :)

E.L.F. Need it Nude Palette Review

Hey Guys! So before I start this review I want to let you know that I received my z palettes today and filled them with my shadows. There is still some space in them that I might try to fill with Karity shadows or mac singles. Now onto the review. The palette comes with ten eyeshadows as well as a decently sized mirror. It costs $10 at the drugstore. Unfortunately, the third shade in the palette came popped out. (See Picture) The glue was not holding it in tight so that was kind of underwhelming for me to begin with. I had high hopes for the fourth shade in the palette. It looked like it would be a beautiful crease/transition shade. Unfortunately, it didn't even really show up. I didn't think this would be the same among the darker shades but unfortunately it was. If you see this and think it's a dupe for the naked palette. I would say think again. Meview Monday: Violet Voss Flamingo Palette

Hey Guys! So Today I'm going to be reviewing the Violet Voss Flamingo Palette! It retails for $45 at Sephora and comes with some nice summery shades. I enjoyed the shimmers and the pigmentation however, I found there to be a lack of crease/transition shades. If you click the link below, you'll find a look that I did with this palette and the Pat Mcgrath Labs Sublime Palette. Violet Voss Flamingo Palette Look In order to deepen up my crease, I had to bring in the Pat McGrath Labs Palette. There just aren't enough deep crease shades in the Violet Voss Palette. Is it a bad palette? Definitely Not! But, it's not for someone with only a few eyeshadow palettes. I would recommend it if you have a big stash and have some shades to compliment it. The lid shades are gorgeous but are not enough to make a look on their own. Overall, I'd give the palette 7/10. xoxo Christina
