Review: City Color Be Matte Blush in Pink Grapefruit

Hey guys!

So when I was at five below I picked up this City Color Blush. It is in the color Pink Grapefruit. It cost $3 there. Originally when I swatched it, it seemed really bright which really isn't my thing but upon wearing it, I found that it was a really nice light pink color.

I really like this on my face upon first trying it but you unfortunately have to be really light with the brush otherwise you might look a little overly pink. I buffed it out with my pixi blush over the top and it looks gorgeous that way. It's the perfect glow. I really like it that way and I would repurchase. I just wish it was subtler upon first trying.

Overall, If you really like loud blush this will be your thing but if you want a subtler glow you will have to lighten this up or look for another blush.

Hey Guys! So before I start this review I want to let you know that I received my z palettes today and filled them with my shadows. There is still some space in them that I might try to fill with Karity shadows or mac singles. Now onto the review. The palette comes with ten eyeshadows as well as a decently sized mirror. It costs $10 at the drugstore. Unfortunately, the third shade in the palette came popped out. (See Picture) The glue was not holding it in tight so that was kind of underwhelming for me to begin with. I had high hopes for the fourth shade in the palette. It looked like it would be a beautiful crease/transition shade. Unfortunately, it didn't even really show up. I didn't think this would be the same among the darker shades but unfortunately it was. If you see this and think it's a dupe for the naked palette. I would say think again. Meview Monday: Violet Voss Flamingo Palette

Hey Guys! So Today I'm going to be reviewing the Violet Voss Flamingo Palette! It retails for $45 at Sephora and comes with some nice summery shades. I enjoyed the shimmers and the pigmentation however, I found there to be a lack of crease/transition shades. If you click the link below, you'll find a look that I did with this palette and the Pat Mcgrath Labs Sublime Palette. Violet Voss Flamingo Palette Look In order to deepen up my crease, I had to bring in the Pat McGrath Labs Palette. There just aren't enough deep crease shades in the Violet Voss Palette. Is it a bad palette? Definitely Not! But, it's not for someone with only a few eyeshadow palettes. I would recommend it if you have a big stash and have some shades to compliment it. The lid shades are gorgeous but are not enough to make a look on their own. Overall, I'd give the palette 7/10. xoxo Christina
