Meview Monday: Mini Review: New Fav Products or Duds?!

Hey Guys! Welcome to Meview Monday (Review Monday ;)

So I wanted to give you some updates and mini reviews on some products that I've been trying out. Warning: This round of products is not good. :(

This week I tried out the Yesto tomatoes clear skin acne fighting mask. It claims to get rid of acne and prevent new pimples from forming. I applied it to my face and left it on for 10 minutes. I noticed that it tingled and made my face feel nice and smooth, however it didn't really make a difference in minimizing my acne or preventing more breakouts from forming. Overall, not really effective for my skin. 4/10 because it felt very cleansing and smoothing.

I've been using the Covergirl Ready, Set, Gorgeous Foundation in the shade 105 Classic Ivory. I've used it several times and have noticed that no matter what powder or how I apply it, by the end of the day I notice some separation. I don't enjoy using the foundation and I just feel like it doesn't have the coverage I would like. It's light coverage but nothing beyond that. 3/10.

The Wet n Wild Photo Focus foundation in porcelain was highly recommended online. It's gotten a lot of good reviews so I was very underwhelmed when I used it. Tati Westbrook reviewed it and loved it. I found it to be very light coverage. I applied it with a beauty blender and just didn't find it to cover any redness. It was a no go for me. By the end of the day it looked like I had no makeup on. 1/10.

The last products I've been trying out were the equate Color Correcting blender sponges.

I got a set of three. Two look similar to the Real Tecniques sponge, however the third looks more like a traditional beauty blender. They claim to correct redness and have vitamin e in them. I didn't notice any color correction. If anything, my redness seemed worse from hitting my face with these sponges which felt more like rocks. They were not soft at all and were very dense. I do NOT recommend these. They looked promising but are more gimmicky than anything. 0/10.

Love you guys. Hope I have some more positive reviews soon. It seems I'm in a rut of bad products :( One thing I have been loving is influenster. It can be a really helpful tool for choosing products that you like and you can get free vox boxes which contain beauty products through it. I totally recommend trying it out.
