My Dad Buys My Makeup Challenge
Hey Guys!
So while I was in Lancaster, PA my Dad and I went shopping and decided to do the Dad Buys My Makeup Challenge (Drugstore Edition). These are the products he picked out. He missed a few categories but this is what we ended up with.
-Maybelline Fit Me Matte and Poreless in 112 Natural Ivory.
-L'Oreal True Match Crayon Concealer.
-Covergirl Outlast All-Day Matte Finishing Powder in 810 fair to light.
-L'Oreal True Match Blush in W1-2 bare honey.
-Maybelline The Blushed Nudes Eyeshadow Palette
-L.A. Colors Black Eyeliner
-E.l.f. Lipstick in Party in the Buff
-Physicians Formula #InstaReady Setting Spray
He didn't pick up a face primer, eyeshadow primer, bronzer, contour powder, or highlighter. The blush he did manage to pick up serves more as a light bronzer for me. It doesn't really have much pigmentation to it.
At first glance, I actually very much enjoy the setting spray by Physicians Formula. It feels very hydrating and is a decent sized bottle.
The e.l.f. lipstick felt nice and lightweight however, the Blushed Nudes Palette by Mabelline was a fail. Prior to this challenge I actually owned this palette but decluttered it as the pigmentation just isn't there with these shadows.
I enjoyed the concealer stick for hiding blemishes but for highlighting it just didn't cut it.
The L.A. colors eyeliner was alright but seemed to fade and melt as time went on.
This is a video of me using these products to make a look. It got cut off so it picked up at the very end but it should show you guys the finished look that I came up with with these products.
