Christmas Tree and Dollar Tree Mini Haul

Hey Guys! So today I was at the Christmas Tree Shop and the Dollar Tree. I decided to check out the makeup aisles of course and I found a few cool things. At the Dollar Tree I found some wet n wild items and at the Christmas Tree Shop I found some Almay intense I-color trios. At Walmart, the Almay eyeshadows retail for around $5. I bought them for $3.99 a piece so that wasn't too bad. It wasn't a huge discount or anything but every bit helps. I got the ones 401 smoky-i for browns and 404 smoky-i for greens. I just looked through all the colors they had and these were the ones I liked the most. I have never tried these Almay eyeshadows so I was excited to try them. I will be reviewing them in depth for you guys in a week or so but for now my first impressions are that the shadows are really pigmented. They aren't as smooth as my too faced ones but they are still smooth. They seem to have less fall out then my lorac shadows so that's good. So far I'm impressed for...

E.L.F. Need it Nude Palette Review

Image
Hey Guys! So before I start this review I want to let you know that I received my z palettes today and filled them with my shadows. There is still some space in them that I might try to fill with Karity shadows or mac singles. Now onto the review. The palette comes with ten eyeshadows as well as a decently sized mirror. It costs $10 at the drugstore. Unfortunately, the third shade in the palette came popped out. (See Picture) The glue was not holding it in tight so that was kind of underwhelming for me to begin with. I had high hopes for the fourth shade in the palette. It looked like it would be a beautiful crease/transition shade. Unfortunately, it didn't even really show up. I didn't think this would be the same among the darker shades but unfortunately it was. If you see this and think it's a dupe for the naked palette. I would say think again. The shades may look similar but the fall out as well as the inappearance makes it really hard for me to even want to ...

Quick Note!

I also wanted to let you guys know that I purchased two z palettes from amazon. One Large z palette and One XL z palette :)

Milani Bella Eyes Eyeshadows

Hey Guys! So, I wanted to post quickly here. After a bit of struggle, I was able to depot my Milani Bella Eyes Eyeshadows. They come in a terracotta pot base so that means you have to burn through the plastic and glue to get them to come out. I hate playing with fire... No pun intended. However for this I couldn't find a way around it. I'm going to take you through this step by step. #1) First, you have to take off the plastic backing. There should be a small space between that and the inner shell. #2) Then, you have to burn the plastic underneath until it begins to bubble. #3) Then, you can poke/press the backing until the shadow falls out. Be CAREFUL not to break the terracotta bottom. Press with enough force but don't hulk it. If it doesn't come out easily, apply more heat. Overall, after I got used to doing it, it worked pretty easily. Just be careful with the fire. xoxo Christina <3

Hey Guys! So yesterday I went through and decluttered my collection. With some of my shadows I decided to depot them so I will be doing that within the next few weeks... I don't own a z palette yet and need to purchase one before I can do this :/ When I finally do this I will post some instructions/how-to's here for you guys if you want!! Let me know if you guys are interested :) xoxo Christina <3 Fanmail/Gift Address 1 Sir Lancelot Dr. Bourne, MA 02532 USA

Wet N Wild Coverall Palette Review

Hey Guys! So I'm a little late with putting this up but I wanted to get a good feel for the product before I passed my final judgement on it. :/ So, the palette comes with four different colored products. A purple, green, yellow-ish color, and a white color. The purple is used to normalize, the green is for neutralizing and correcting, the yellow is for covering (claims seem like a concealer), and the white is for illuminating and brightening.  While I really wanted to love this product, I have to say I don't really like it at all. I tried multiple colors different ways, with a stipple brush: wet and dry, as well as with my fingers. The colors all seemed to perform better on a wet stipple brush. However, that being said the formula is extremely thin and greasy. The green when it was applied with my fingers seemed thick like play makeup but when it was finally thinned out to get rid of the green sheen it didn't cover really at all. The concealer just is far too yellow to...

Too Faced Chocolate Bar

Hey Guys! So far I am loving my too faced chocolate bar. :) It has great pigmentation and the shadows are super creamy. Especially the matte shadows. It cost me $49 but so far it is worth it. I can see myself getting a lot of use out of it. :) My only complaint so far is that some of the shadows look different on your eyes than they do in the palette. :( Anyhow, so far it is a really nice palette. I especially love Marzipan. :) I will write a full review in a few weeks :) xoxo Christina <3

Special Note!

Hey Guys! So, to any of you guys who live in the Cape Cod, MA area, I am offering my services for special events. I am willing to do your makeup at a discount for $15 a person. Please let me know! xoxo Christina <3

Urban Decay Primer Potion... Disappointed!

Hey Guys! So, first I'd like to mention that I really had some expectations for this product. At $12.00 for the trial/travel size it has to blow my mind for me to repurchase and this sadly did not. It left my eyelids feeling greasy and I felt as if my eyeshadow "slid" off. It didn't really have much staying power which disappointed me. I've always kinda held Urban Decay as the Golden standard for makeup and this just made me reconsider that. If you want a good primer with lasting staying power that makes your shadows look vibrant, I would go with Nyx's white base in the pot. It retails for $6.99 at Ulta and for about half of the Urban Decay Primer, it makes your shadows last all day. Boo Urban Decay. Shame on you. xoxo Christina <3

Wet N Wild's Coverall Correcting Palette

Hey Guys! So, in a few days I'm going to review this product for you guys. It was relatively cheap at walmart...$3.99 I believe. Don't quote me on that. :/ So far, it feels like a creamy consistency. However, to me it kind of feels like play makeup. I don't know how to explain it but it doesn't feel like it will do the job. Who knows? Maybe I'll change my mind... We will see. xoxo Christina <3

Review: Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer

Hey Guys! So, about 2 months ago now I bought the Butter Bronzer from Physicians Formula. I absolutely love this bronzer. It warms up the skin nicely and smells awesome! As soon as you open up the bronzer, it smells like coconut. I absolutely love this. One warning: This product doesn't really perform well as a contour. The product seems to warm, at least on my skin tone to be a match for a contour. Let me know your thoughts on this bronzer! xoxo Christina <3

Big Buy Today

Hey Guys! So this past week I had my birthday and with some of the money I received I bought myself the chocolate bar palette from too faced! Would you guys like me to do a tutorial with it or a review? Maybe even a comparison? Let me know. xoxo Christina Btw, I know I haven't posted in a while. Sorry for that. I got really discouraged from the lack of interest in this blog. It's difficult to start a beauty blog up and get an audience so I appreciate you guys for staying with me. :)
