Product Review: Beauty Blush Duo in Rose Gold by Pixi

Hey Guys! :)

So in my February ipsy bag one of the products I received was the Beauty Blush Duo in Rose Gold by Pixi.

Below are some pictures of the product and swatches that I took. I am also wearing the blush today and have been wearing it for a few days now so that I can give a complete review.

Originally when I got this product I was really happy because I don't usually receive blushes in my ipsy bags. That being said, this product doesn't have very much pigmentation at all and was kind of a disappointment. I received a pixi eye shadow duo in my January bag and noticed that the pigmentation in that wasn't that great either but I was hoping it was just a one time thing. Unfortunately it wasn't. Below are some swatches of the blushes.

I think these blushes would be more effective for someone with darker skin. I'm pretty light skinned so these blushes didn't really want to show up on me as you can see in the swatches. I was expecting the shade on the right to be darker and was very surprised. :( Anyhow, today I am wearing the blush duo mixed with an elf blush in the shade fushia fusion.

I think even with the elf blush mixed in it was still really subtle. If you want a subtle blush look then this blush might be the duo for you but if you're looking for something bright and spring-y then this isn't gonna be the product you're looking for. Below is a swatch of all three products. On the right is the elf blush and in the center and left is the pixi duo.

The elf blush has much more pigmentation to it then either of the other shades. The lighter shade is really nice and shimmery. Both shades of the duo are soft and together provide a nice subtle (very subtle) glow. However if you are looking for a bright blush elf has a blush palette out, not the blush I referred to, that has some really bright blushes in it. :) It retails for $6.00 and is a great option for those who like spring-y, louder, blushes. Below is the link to the product on elf's website.

The pixi blush duo that I received retails for $18.00 and is sold with a kabuki brush. The link to the product is below.

All this being said, for someone who likes subtle looks this duo is a great option. For someone who wants a more bright look, this may not be the product for you.

For me, this wasn't the one for me. I found the glow to be too subtle for my liking. :/
