Foundations: Drugstore Gems
Hey Guys!
So as you probably guessed from the title, this entry is going to be about foundations. As of right now I don't really have that perfect holy grail foundation. I've been bouncing around these three for a long time and I just wanted to share my opinion on them with you guys. :)
The first foundation I'm going to be talking about is the covergirl outlast stay fabulous 3 in 1 foundation. The formula is lightweight and very creamy. It is a nice liquid foundation, however it isn't quite as full coverage as it boasts. As someone with acne problems I can attest to wanting a full coverage foundation and this foundation fails to give me that :( For someone who doesn't need to cover blemishes this may be a great foundation but for me it just isn't enough coverage. This product retails for $9.00 at walmart and is rather on the higher drugstore side for foundation.
Ideal Skin Type: Dry to Normal
The second foundation that I'm going to be talking about is one that I just recently discovered. It's been out there for a while but I always passed by it without a second thought until now. The foundation is the Wet n Wild coverall cream foundation. It is a bit thicker than the covergirl foundation but provides more coverage than the covergirl foundation. I like this formula a lot but it still fails to provide that full coverage. It does however make my face look really smooth and does a great job making my face look like a "china doll". It gives me that airbrushed look which is nice. I like this foundation a lot, still it doesn't give me that full coverage which is the reason I haven't completely fallen in love with it. This foundation retails for $3.99 at walmart. It is the cheapest foundation by far that I have tried and puts some of my more expensive foundations to shame. Just by the amount of coverage I can get for the price. :)
Ideal Skin Type: Normal or Combination (Normal or Oily)
The last foundation I'm going to talk about is the elf flawless finish foundation. I have it in the shade porcelain. It retails for $6.00 at walmart. This foundation is the thickest out of all three. That being said, it has the best coverage. Albeit, it isn't full coverage, but it is still a good foundation. I think out of all three that I have right now from the drug store this is the best for my skin type. I like this foundation a lot however if you have patchy/dry skin this won't work for you as it will get stuck in those patches and not smooth out. For me, I have oily skin so this works well for me but for someone else this may not work the best.
Ideal Skin Type: Oily skin
Thank you guys for reading my blog! :)
