Meview Monday: Picante Palette by Karity

Image
Hey Guys! Today I'll be reviewing the Picante palette by Karity Cosmetics! It retails for $29.00 on Karity's website. However, right now it's on sale for $19.99!  This is a look I did using the palette!  So, for my thoughts on the palette - -  First, the pigmentation is CRAZY! I love how pigmented these shadows are :) I did swatches and even the light shades showed up with only one swatch. If you guys want to see swatches in the future in my reviews comment below!!!  Second, the arrangement of shades is nice however, it is another warm color palette. If you love warm tones you may fall in love with this palette. If you have a palette like the Naked Heat by Urban Decay or another warm toned palette with lots of similar shades then you may not need the Picante palette.  Overall, I'd give the palette an 8/10. The shades were nice, the pigmentation was great but it's just not a necessity per se for me!  xoxo Christina  ...

Tutorial Tuesday: Jeffree Star Blood Sugar Palette

Image
Hey Guys! So, today I'm going to be sharing with you guys a look that I did with the Jeffree Star Blood Sugar Palette! I thought this was just a perfect look for Thanksgiving!! :)  1. First, I used my nyx white primer pot to prime my lid.  2. Then, I dipped into Glucose to set my lids.  3. Using a crease brush, I dipped into cake mix and started to carve out my crease. 4. Then, I mixed together Blood Sugar and Cherry Soda and placed that on the outer portion of my lid. 5. On the inner portion of my lid, I used Donor, packed it on and blended it. 6. Then I smudged Cherry Soda on my lower lash line.  7. Lastly, I lined my inner rim with a physicians formula black eyeliner and used my benefit rollerlash mascara.  I hope you enjoyed this tutorial! If you have any questions or comments, post them below and I'll be sure to answer!  xoxo Christina

Meview Monday: Violet Voss Flamingo Palette

Image
Hey Guys! So Today I'm going to be reviewing the Violet Voss Flamingo Palette! It retails for $45 at Sephora and comes with some nice summery shades. I enjoyed the shimmers and the pigmentation however, I found there to be a lack of crease/transition shades. If you click the link below, you'll find a look that I did with this palette and the Pat Mcgrath Labs Sublime Palette. Violet Voss Flamingo Palette Look In order to deepen up my crease, I had to bring in the Pat McGrath Labs Palette. There just aren't enough deep crease shades in the Violet Voss Palette. Is it a bad palette? Definitely Not! But, it's not for someone with only a few eyeshadow palettes. I would recommend it if you have a big stash and have some shades to compliment it. The lid shades are gorgeous but are not enough to make a look on their own. Overall, I'd give the palette 7/10. xoxo Christina
